Overall Winner

The Australia Pacific LNG operated by Origin Energy Acquisitive Open Prize was awarded to Mitchell based sculptor, Kyle Mansfield with his entry “King Ranch”

Roma Saleyards Acquisitive Award
Roma Saleyards Acquisitive Prize was won by Sculptor Dion Cross for his “It’s in the Jeans” concept.

Maranoa Regional Council Acquisitive Local Award

Kyle also enjoyed further success with the top prize for the Maranoa Regional Council Acquisitive Local Prize with his entry of “Old Man Emu”.

Emerging Artist Award
The Hall Chadwick Emerging Artist Prize was awarded to Cameron Wilson who travelled all the way from Castlemaine in Victoria, for his sculpture “Percy the Pelican”

People’s Choice Award

This year’s Roma On Bungil Gallery People’s Choice Prize was awarded to “The Outback Fruit Truck” by Guy (Slim) Humphries from the Gold Coast in collaboration with local identity Grace Gray.

Garden Seat Award

The Roma Wire and Steel Acquisitive Garden Seat Prize was awarded to locals Danny and Donna Sutton for their “Take a Seat with Hookie” garden seat. It is a seat made to remember a well known local Roma character, mechanic Ronald Arthur Hook “Hookie”.

Bymount graziers and artists Donna and Danny Sutton were also awarded the winning entry in the 2023 Garden Seat Competition for their scrap metal seat, ‘In Another Life’.
