Art pieces can be found at and Kenmore Gallery in Brisbane, Australia.  She features on the Artsy Shark, Brisbane Artists, Art Connect and Colour In Your Life.

Sandi was born and raised in the Queensland bush, and now resides in Brisbane.  She is a mother, kindergarten teacher and an E.S.L. teacher. She began learning to draw and paint in order to illustrate the children’s stories she writes in her spare time, but since discovering her passion for art she has moved her focus to painting.

Sandi has illustrated and written or co-written 19 story books for children, 7 of her own and 12 others with Aboriginal Elders, Dr. Ruth Hegarty and Uncle Joe Kirk.  These have been published by Scholastic Australia. Several of these books are already available in book stores. Others will follow into the book shops as soon as printing is complete.

Sandi focuses mainly on painting animals interacting with one another.  There’s a story in every painting and viewers can have fun creating their own versions.

Sandi says of her paintings ‘I like to think there is a story unfolding behind the scenes and I’ve captured the characters hatching a plot or deep in thought.’

Sandi continues to develop her skills and explore her passion and joy for art and sharing it with others.
